Summer is over but I am back

summer is over

Okay, so it’s been almost three hours for which I was sitting here, going through September issue (talking about Vogue, of course!), watching silly series and thinking how to start again with my blog. Yep, it’s been more than 7 months since I wrote my last post. And it was so positive, you know, saying all these things about me starting the school and being organised, about having everything scheduled etc.

But I feel like life sometimes doesn’t want to work this way and is doing whatever it wants. And that some bullshit happen.

I really don’t know how to start so let’s just take it first things first.
In February I started my diploma course at Fashion Retail Academy. I was so excited but also a bit scared! You know, when I am entering new environment, it is really difficult for me to talk to the people, in foreign language even more ( – they for sure think that I am a complete idiot, the girl who doesn’t know what is she talking about.) But anyway, I gained confidence at school. Confidence in myself, confidence in my skills and I also found what I love to do and what I would love to do for my career.

During this crazy period I didn’t have time for anything – all these assignments effected my blog, doing outfits, going to the gym. And what it affected most was my healthy lifestyle. I remember that moment in March when I just burned out (like a fire cracker, believe me) and started eating crap. Like real crap. I must admit that I broke my sugar-free lifestyle and sinned and sinned and sinned.
Thanks to the full school timetable I couldn’t work as much as I wanted and couldn’t afford any shopping or whatsoever. For 7 months! That is really crazy for somebody like me. I know that I am being drama queen here but that is the thing: Once you get use to your own money and the luxury that you can afford to buy something every month, it is obviously hard to give it up.
I also had to change my job to have even less hours and so have more time for working on school projects.
I didn’t have time to see and visit my family, to travel or at least have some free time for my boyfriend.

Was it all worth it?

So much. I think this was the first time when I recognised that hard work pays of. I had the opportunity to work for Gucci,  recently I was offered a fantastic job of buyer’s admin assistant, I got a distinction from my final project at school, I have met amazing people and gained so much valuable knowledge and skills..
I don’t want to say that I am finally happy because I think that happiness should be unconditional. But I can say that I found partly my inner piece. That I don’t worry anymore about my career path because I set it up. That my job is not stressing me out anymore and I am not coming home tired. That I am starting again with sugar free lifestyle and am so excited about it:)

Okay guys, that’s probably it for tonight, I will see you here next week!

Sewing: Birthday sequin dress not for my birthday

sewing sequin dress sewing sequin dress sewing sequin dress sewing sequin dress sewing sequin dress sewing sequin dress

First thing: I am very happy how organised I am lately. Second thing: it has got couple of conditions, to keep up with the schedule – wake up at 6am, meal prep, energy (which disappears at 11am) and organised and scheduled posts. I mean, pictures. Because this is my first post I’m doing at work, on my break, with belly full of mashed cauliflower with butter and poached chicken. So full. How is your Monday so far?

Today I share some first sneak peaks into my sequin dress: You gonna love the final picture! But I’ll keep it for next Monday post:P

The dress is for Daniil’s birthday party happening in March. I got it ready now already because later I will be panicking with cake for My cutie pie and make up.

To be honest guys, I didn’t expect it will be so easy to work with sequin fabric, plus lining. I got all the parts of the pattern ready first, than  sew by hand together lining and the parts (for preparation only) and then worked on the whole dress.

As you can see, the sequins were eeeeverywhere!:D The whole floor in the kitchen was glittery, like disco ball exploded there or whatever. How do you like it? I feel so glamorous in that dress, I’ve never done or worn something like this before!! Would be amazing to have some fluffy white fur over my shoulders haha. But it might be too much for house party:) I am seriously thinking about selling the dress once I’ll wear it just for one night.

Anybody interested?:))

Spotted this week

So last weekend Gabi came over and we had that amazing girly weekend. We had so much fun, I am so grateful for friend like her!
Obviously, the first day we went to Oxford street do so some necessary shopping, visit Primark (yes, I am using expression “visit” together with Primark. Honestly, who spend in that zoo less than 2 hrs!:D ) and just walk around.

I found just by accident this lovely store called “& other stories“. And fell in love!
Do you know this brand? Basically it is under the H&M group, with designs from Stockholm and Paris (honestly, lately French fashion got me so much! And Swedish bloggers.. well you know those famous bloggers from Stockholm!). This dangerous combination of French chic originality and Swedish style cannot make anything wrong.  The store I went in is on Oxford street, but they have more stores around London, just check their website.

Honestly, those from you, who are constantly on Instagram (like me) searching for outfit inspiration and seeing all these pretty trendy stuff, will love this store! It is exactly the thing I was looking for for ages. I don’t know where to start – they have exactly the trendy pieces for very affordable prices, the material quality is… I would say comparable to some high end brands and the colours are beautiful. Everything at & other stories starting by underwear ending up by accessories and cosmetic products. I was especially targeting on few pieces on my wish list – high waisted trousers and some tops.
I definitely recommend to visit the store as you might regret ordering online – at least you can really see the amazing quality plus I think at the store they have way more things. I must say even I regret I ordered bunch of stuff online! Hm, at least I didn’t have money left to go crazy at the store:) Check their knitwear and denim collection for sure. They are also on spot with the khaki colour which is so trendy now! Worth mentioning is also the cosmetic section where I found lots of body lotions smelling like sweets and most amazing body scrubs.
Once I will receive my stuff you can be sure to see it here on blog in outfits!

Have a fab evening guys and happy shopping :P

And what about the leggings?

So what is the deal with leggings? Is that one big no no or is that allowed, for those very casual occasions, for weekend wear?
Apparently this trend hasn’t faded yet – recently seen on Gigi Hadid walking around NY in very comfortable looking outfit – cropped hoodie, grey pair of leggings and no-make up perfect skin. I personally love them on Kardashians – either you love them or hate them, they have style and know how to wear every single piece of clothes. But what you could spotted on these girls is the most important know-how for leggings: Material, material, material. They don’t do smaller sizes where you can see your underwear print or any transparency. And no, you don’t have to go crazy with money, it just needs patience and lots of trying to find the best pick for you. I personally recommend Asos, Nike, H&M or Joseph. First three brands are more casual and you can find there easier fabrics and more fun styles. Joseph is doing amazing gabardine leggings – I have mine for a year now and cannot complain at all! Also on Asos you can get some for workwear as well – not whether treat Asos as high street or high end fashion retail as they have amazing stuff sometimes.

By years now I also love leather look leggings – for me the best one are from Calzedonia. I recently tried Forever 21 or Asos, but they were too thin or my (no)bum looked weird..:)
It is also all about details – what are you going to pair them with, accessories and details on leggings itself.

So what is your final opinion, yay or nay for leggings?
Here I went for very sporty combination – bottom from Nike with Primark crop top and my super comfortable Nike Huarache trainers.

To get the inspiration

denim jacket by River Island! great denim inspiration denim jacket by River Island! great denim inspiration denim jacket by River Island! great denim inspiration

I just love walking around those luxury stores (lately Balenciaga, Givenchy or Gucci caught my eye) and being inspired for my own outfits or designs of clothes. Last time I took a bit of inspiration from Gucci collection with all the beautiful embroidery – will do something similar on my coat. And last time in Harvey Nichols I saw the amazing denim jacket with dropped shoulders from Balenciaga. It looked so cool! And soon I saw in on everybody – Kim Kardashian, beautiful blogger Kenza… So I decided to get something similar. River Island didn’t disappoint me neither in this time and I found this denim jacket with quote on back. It is the right cut, the right oversized size.. Such a cool piece! I wore it that day with my Nike leggings and new Huarache shoes. (Btw, I have to say the shoes are sooo comfortable, didn’t have any like this for so long time!

What else to say? I just cannot wait for summer, to combine this piece with high waisted shorts and boho accessories <3

PS: Let’s just don’t talk about my hair today. As I cut them, they behave crazy and happily grow all the ways. At least, they are happy.
