The ultimate guide for your Bahamas trip: Part 1

Bahamas and its amazing beaches

Swimming with the sharks, feeding sting rays and enjoying crystal clear water.
Those were the main reasons why me and Daniil wanted to go to Bahamas, for many people destination seen as honeymoon treat.
Bahamas are a group of about 700 islands so planning of your trip is the key.We decided to visit three following islands: Nassau, Staniel Cay and Great Exuma.

Day 1 and 2: Nassau
Whether you travel with your partner, family or friends and are looking for island with plenty of shops, resorts and things to do, Nassau is perfect for you. There is well known hotel Atlantis with its water park and its slide going through water full of sharks. You can take a walk in the city centre and visit galleries or museums, for rum lovers there is a John Watling’s distillery and of course you should at least try Bahamian typical sweet: rum cake. I really didn’t find out how they do it but imagine nice sponge cake, just.. marinated / completely soaked in rum, followed by the sweetest taste you can dream about. By the way, by this time I have decided to break my sugar free rule and tried the cake. It made me so full I didn’t eat anything for the rest of the day.
(Ps: If you are food lover as I am, keep reading, there will be more.)
At Nassau, the most beautiful beach was Cabbage beach and Cable beach. I would recommend Cabbage beach even though it is a bit further (ehm, if you are not staying at Atlantis). It was definitely worth it!

Day 3, 4 and 5: Staniel Cay
I was really excited to move a bit further from Nassau as Staniel Cay and Exumas are much less commercial and busy.
Staniel Cay can seem like not really exciting place to go but the opposite is the truth. It is actually really good strategical spot where to stay – from there you can either rent a boat as we did, or just join many of locally offered tours around. And this is what you came for: feeding pigs and Iguanas or swim with sharks.
For getting around it is amazing to rent a golf car – we totally fell in love with this way of transport! We went to do our groceries, to the Yacht club for dinner or just simply getting around. Talking about getting your food: I think that the island’s motto should be sarcastic “Well, welcome to Bahamas” as this is response from many people answering your surprised face when questioning about opening hours of local grocery shop. It can get really irregular and depends on God knows what when the stores are open – especially out of the touristic season.
At Staniel Cay you should go to the Yacht club where local fishermen come everyday with their catch of the day. You can watch them clean the fish and feed the sharks there. You can also enjoy the view on many beautiful yachts parked there: We were lucky to see amazing yacht called Usher (honestly, I thought it’s his. If I had yacht this, it would be definitely called “Lucie” or “It is mine.).

Day 6, 7 and 8: Great Exuma
Apart from the other beautiful beaches there, you should definitely go to Chat N’ Chill caffe: Seeing the sting rays and be able to feed them was something I will never ever forget. I was sitting in the white sand on the shallow part of the ocean and they just came around, so beautiful and calm. I have to say, I did have some respect! They are still wild animals and you should be careful when being around them. But definitely, don’t be scared and try to feed them. The feeling is crazy.
On the opposite side from Chat N’ Chill cafe, there is a beach, the ocean side. It has got amazing view and a bit wilder water. Plus, it is a bit tricky there. You have to go there in the morning when the water is lower, because you have to cross a little part where water is and has got a bit current. And the water gets higher. On the pictures you can see what we had to do because the water went up :).
Another beautiful beach you can find in the Bahamas is the one at Tropic of Cancer.Located at 23 26N 75 35W, the beach is named after the meridian line that defines the northern extent of the tropics and crosses right through it. (Okay, I copied this sentence somewhere from Google!). But the beach was probably the most beautiful place I have ever been.

On our last day we went back to Nassau and then got connecting flight to Atlanta and then back to London.
I didn’t want to make this post too long so in few days you can expect another one, about food, accommodation and travel around Bahamas!

Bikini body at Caesar's palace

_K3A2628 _K3A2700 _K3A2689 _K3A2668 _K3A2665

This is really something!
You have to understand, I don’t want to talk about me being beautiful on the pictures or something like that, I just really love the composition and the light on the pictures! And mainly the bikini. Love them! It is brand called Chiquelle and everybody here is asking me for it. Check their website, they have amazing pieces. It was one of my presents from Daniil.
To be honest, I was very struggling to post pictures in bikini as I am not sure 100% about my bikini body yet. You have to know that I got really problems with liking my body and self respect generally. I also tend to compare myself to others. What is bad I know! But last couple of months I’ve been working on it, working out a lot and stayed positive and everything just worked together. But still, that day in a swimming pool, I was still a bit shy.
Let me know, what do you think about the bikini!

I found an inspiration for the watermelon pictures from very good Swedish  Janni Deler – google her, she is amazing!
We did the pictures by Caesar’s palace pool – yes, we are staying here!! How cool is that:D
I hope you guys are having amazing time, whenever you are, back to the school, on holidays as well or at home, with your friends and families:)

Celkem to fungovalo! :D.

Lucie

Touch of art deco in Miami

art deco art deco art deco DSC00789 miami beach

First thoughts I found in my head when I saw Miami beach? Retro. Art deco. Scarface. It is my very few days here but you can straight away feel the past years, 30s or 40s to be accurate. In this period South beach was rebuilt after big hurricane. The buildings are painted in those candy pastel colors, not higher than two floors (if you don’t count the more modern part with tall apartments buildings or fancy restaurants). Even our hotel Avalon was very retro and chic. We were very happy about our stay there – the location is amazing! It is right in front of the beach, great location for morning power walks or work out at the local outdoor gym. Highly recommended  for sunrise seeing! Avoid the restaurants around loud boulevard and walk a bit further into the city centre – visit famous Lincoln street for shopping and find nice cuban food.

Most of the South beach what I remember was the beach, long, very wide, big enough to never be packed by people I would say. On those few kilometres long white sand beach you can find your spot and just relax. That’s the feeling I had from Miami beach – very calm, chilled place to be.

Teda pokud nepočítáte nové mrakodrapy a restaurace. Vyhněte se restauracím okolo pláže a komerčního ruchu kolem (doopravdy potřebujete kocovinu z XXL drinku smíchaných z levné vodky a přeslazeného sirupu?) a vplujte více do centra. Kubánská kuchyně je tu skvělá (ano, pocítíte tu i vliv z nedaleké Havany).

Black and orange bikini

my victoria's secret black and orange bikinimy victoria's secret black and orange bikinimy victoria's secret black and orange bikinimy victoria's secret black and orange bikinimy victoria's secret black and orange bikini

I am sitting on the sofa. On a beach. Writing my latest blog post. And I am very enjoying that:). I hope you are having a good day so far, having a nice day at work or being happy somewhere on holidays. Today we are on the beach in Jimbaran. I bought in last minute these Victoria’s Secret bikini so hope you like it. As you could find, I am obsessed with orange color. And I have to say these bikini are way to comfortable! Can you recommend any nice brand for bikini? Or which one is your favourite?

Here are quite big waves. Bali is well known for its surf beaches. So during making shoots I was strugling with staying on one place:D

How to pack your suitcase and don't get crazy

I love packing suitcases. Planning journeys or holidays at all. But back to the suitcase – sometimes it can be really tough to pack it as you have got lots of beautiful dresses, tops and another stuffs! Thanks to following smart tips you’ll never get stuck and will be done in an hour!

jewellery, accessories, box, packing, holidays, vacations, smart, tips, diy swimsuit, bikini, summer, clothes, fashion, asos, victoria's secret, black, pinksuitcase, holidays, vacations, purse, on board, flight, comfortable, necessary,  packing, holidays, suitcase, swimsuit,
  • Firstly, make a list. It helps you to don’t forget something and pack every essentials items.
  • Prepare outfit for every day of your vacations; for walk around the city centre, for dinner or clubbing, some cozy clothes for staying on hotel / spa, sport outfit and – bikini with beach clothes of course!
  • Wear bulky pieces on the plane. It saves you lot of space. Plus, it is really cold sometimes on board so some warm scarf protects you and let you enjoy your journey.
  • Create small bags for every kind of clothes – underwear and socks, bikini, scarfs and belts, hats, toiletries,
accessories, cosmetic products. I would love to even stick on them even some sign!
  • Let be some space for holiday’s gifts in your suitcase. And buy them in time, not for at last minute!
  • Pack all of your cameras, chargers and another electronics separately and don’t forget nothing important!
  • In advance, prepare also your bag which you take on plane. Passport, boarding pass, important documents and copies of passports, credit cards, etc., MacBook, iPhone, headphones, hand cream, magazines, sunglasses, paracetamol, fresh food (vegetable, fruit or small treats – food on plane isn’t that good, don’t you think?) – these stuffs are usually in my purse (ehm, and keys, actually).

Soo, bon voyage, I really hope that article helps you! :)

To Vám pomůže nezapomenout ani ty nejzákladnější věci.
To Vám ušetří spousty místa.
